The Advocates for Human Rights
The mission of The Advocates for Human Rights is to implement international human rights standards to promote civil society and reinforce the rule of law. By involving volunteers in research, education, and advocacy, we build broad constituencies in the United States and select global communities. An independent, nonpartisan non-profit organization founded in 1983, The Advocates develops partnerships and mobilizes volunteers to address some of the most pressing issues of our time. We use this volunteer model because we believe that everyone has the power and responsibility to advance human rights.
