Sage Montana

Graduate Assistant


Sage Montana (She/Her) is a first-year graduate student in the communication program at the University of Connecticut, where she plans to study mass communication with an emphasis on science communication. She holds an advanced degree in chemistry and has worked in industry translating scientific data and information into consumer materials. In addition to her background in data analysis and science writing, Sage is also passionate about advocacy and labor rights.

She currently serves as the Communications Coordinator for UConn’s Graduate Employee and Postdoc Union, where she helps amplify collective action efforts across campus. As a Graduate Assistant at the Gladstein Family Human Rights Institute, Sage supports event planning and communication with an emphasis on community engagement.
