Imge Akaslan is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Connecticut. Imge holds a BS in global and international affairs from Middle East Technical University (Turkey) and an MA in political science from Binghamton University (SUNY).

Imge’s dissertation research focuses on the unique challenges facing small and medium sized textile companies particularly in relation to supply chain auditing and labor rights. She also focuses on human rights measurement. During her time at Binghamton University, Imge worked on the Cingranelli and Richards (CIRI) Human Rights Data Project with Professor David Cingranelli.
