Imge Akaslan is second year Ph.D. student in the Political Science Department at the University of Connecticut. Imge holds BS in Global and International Affairs from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, and MA in Political Science from Binghamton University(SUNY).
Imge’s research area is economic and social rights and protest. She wrote Master’s Thesis on human rights gaps and protests:”Human Rights Gaps and Internal Conflict: A Comparative Analysis.” She also focuses on human rights measurement. During the time in Binghamton University, Imge worked on Cingranelli and Richards Human Rights Data Project with Professor David Cingranelli.
