Lyle Scruggs named visiting fellow at the Russell Sage Foundation

Lyle Scruggs (Political Science, University of Connecticut) is a visiting fellow at the Russell Sage Foundation in Manhattan in the 2012-13 academic year. Scruggs is working on a book manuscript examining the evolution of social insurance programs around the world and in the U.S. between 1970 and the present. The book will assess whether social policy provisions are becoming less generous in richer democracies or in American states, and investigate the role of structural, institutional, and political factors in explaining differences in welfare state generosity. http://www.russellsage.org/visiting-scholars
