Undergraduate Research & Internship Funding
Human Rights Institute Undergraduate Internship Award
These awards, ranging from $250 – $5,000, are given to outstanding undergraduate students completing a minor or major in Human Rights, completing an internship at a domestic or international human rights organization, and enrolling in either HRTS 3245 or 4291.
Application deadlines:
Summer internship March 1
Fall internship March 30
Spring internship October 30
Applicants must submit the HRI Internship Award Application.
Human Rights Institute Undergraduate Internship Travel Award
These awards, up to $1,000, are given to outstanding undergraduate students completing a minor or major in Human Rights, completing an internship at a human rights organization, and enrolling in either HRTS 3245 or 4291. Students may apply for reimbursement of travel expenses associated with internship work, including mileage, bus, train, and air fare, lodging, and conference registration.
A portion of this award is funded by a fund established by the Human Rights Institute faculty and staff.
Application deadlines: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, but preference will be given to those students who apply prior to the start of their internship.
